Amateo the world's first Guest Relationship Optimisation System dedicated solely for the hospitality industry, which launched recently, has warned the UK's hotel industry that it must be more innovative if it is to combat the downturn in business resulting from recession fears, the foot and mouth disease crisis and the recent terror atrocities in the United States. According to Amateo's chief executive, Matthew Maxwell, as the market shrinks, the competition between hotel chains and independent hotels will intensify in a market already seeing its total bed nights being reduced by as much as 40 percent in some regions across the country.
Matthew said: "Amateo has devised the world's first software guest optimisation portfolio that will reap returns on technological investment from day one, providing sales to impact on bottom line profits through more effective targeting of guests."
